ORIGINAL ISSUE - VIETNAM ERA - COLT M7 BAYONET- The Colt M7 is a Vietnam War-era factory-produced bayonet originally designed for attachment to the M16 rifle. Manufactured under Colt contract in 1964 production was handled by the Imperial Knife Company. The blade is marked with the Rampant Colt logo and the inscription Colt's 62316 Hartford Conn. U.S.A. identifying it as a Colt-marked variant of the standard U.S. military M7 pattern. The bayonet features the traditional spear-point blade profile and steel crossguard with a muzzle ring for rifle mounting. - All in good shape. Red paint on butt was applied by military at time of decommissioning.
